My service team member received a complaint from residents of Jalan Lintang, Air Itam.
There are large quantity of water accumulated at a monsoon drain.
If we do not resolve it now and then, this neighbourhood will face the risk of floods if there is heavy downpour at night.
We went for a site visit and found out that the rubbish trap was full. We call the volunteers and get our hands dirty by clearing portion of the rubbish.
Two hours later, MPPP arrived at the site and they work overtime for two hours to clean it up.
It was on a Sunday evening. Later of the night, I received three calls from the residents and they thank my team.
With me are Foo Yu Keong (special assistant to CM), Lim Swee Hoe (Air Itam Service Team member), John Peh (DAP Kampong Pisang branch leader) and several volunteers.
I am going to call a meeting with MPPP to check from them the cleaning schedule etc.
